Dr Joanne Goh is a cataract and refractive surgeon, cornea subspecialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist. She is an expert in routine and complex cataract surgery and is highly experienced in performing laser-assisted cataract surgery. Joanne is also a leading refractive surgeon, specialising in laser eye surgery and vision correction surgeries including LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange and implantable contact lenses.

Joanne graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne and undertook her internship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. She completed her RANZCO ophthalmology training in Perth, Western Australia before heading to Bristol, United Kingdom for a cataract, cornea and external eye diseases fellowship where she gained expertise in complex cataract surgery and the medical and surgical management of corneal diseases. Subsequently she embarked on another cataract, refractive and cornea subspecialty fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London for further advanced training in cataract surgery, laser eye surgery and corneal transplantation. Joanne also has extensive experience in corneal cross-linking and the management of keratoconus.

Joanne maintains an ongoing commitment to continued education by lecturing regularly and has been an invited speaker at local, regional and international meetings. Joanne has a strong interest and commitment in collaborative patient care and advocates for shared care with referring optometrists and GPs in stable, chronic ocular conditions.

In addition to English, Joanne also speaks conversational Mandarin and Cantonese.
