Dr Rebecca Haward



Dr Rebecca Haward is a practicing Ophthalmologist who completed her ophthalmology training in Melbourne. After completing her medical degree at Monash University, graduating with honours, Rebecca continued her specialty training in the United Kingdom at Bristol Eye Hospital.


Dr Haward holds a position at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in their acute and surgical ophthalmology clinics and the Eye Emergency Department. She is actively involved in education and training, and the supervision of trainee ophthalmologists. She continues to work in her subspecialty areas of Medical Retina and Ocular Immunology (Uveitis), with particular interest in care of macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and vein occlusions. She is proficient in managing a wide range of general ophthalmic conditions and in performing cataract surgery.


Collaboration with all of the patient’s health care practitioners is important to Dr Haward, ensuring her patients are looked after as a team approach..


Dr Haward is fluent in conversational Greek.
